Thank you all for your support! We have made lots of progress since Arbor Day:
All of the 15 seedlings were adopted (sad to say 2 disappeared and a few look to be struggling, but we will get more in the fall)
Only 5 trees street trees still need adopters - on Canal St, Nashua St, Cambridge/Staniford, Merrimac St
Volunteers from my company, dentsu, will come on June 16th from 10am-4pm to 'measure and survey' as many of the trees in the West End that we can - if you are free and want to help email me
MGH Arboretum status - I have started conversations with Nick Haney at MGH, Stephen Schneider from NU to assist, the Arbor Day Foundation - looks like the construction will be 8 years, but I propose that we use that time to find other places for trees on their campus and make the new green space as robust as it can be
Love Your Block Funds - I submitted an application for 2 things: outdoor planters and plants for thank you to businesses that give us access to water near street trees that are hard to reach and 20 gallon water carrying bags and collapsible wheelbarrows to help water street trees
One of our volunteers has agreed to find content to share on our blog
